One of the standout features of Das Azit is its extensive menu that showcases the diverse flavors of Korea. From spicy stews to sizzling BBQ dishes, every item is prepared with care and attention to detail. A personal favorite is the Bulgogi - a tender, marinated beef dish that is perfectly grilled and served with rice and a variety of vegetables. The rich flavors of the marinated meat combined with the smoky essence from the grill make it a dish that you’ll keep coming back for.

If you’re a fan of Korean hotpots, Das Azit’s Kimchi Jjigae (Kimchi stew) will surely impress. This hearty stew, made with fermented kimchi, tofu, pork, and various spices, packs a punch with its tangy and spicy flavors. It’s the kind of dish that’s perfect for warming you up during the colder months, and it offers a great balance between spicy and savory tastes.

The restaurant also features a selection of Banchan, the small side dishes typically served with Korean meals. The variety here is impressive, and each side dish complements the main dishes perfectly. From pickled vegetables to spicy kimchi and refreshing salads, the banchan at Das Azit adds an extra layer of depth to your meal. It’s this attention to detail that really elevates the dining experience.

For those who prefer lighter fare, Das Azit offers a selection of Korean rice dishes and soups. One of the best is the Bibimbap, a mixed rice dish topped with vegetables, a fried egg, and your choice of protein. The combination of fresh ingredients and the savory gochujang (Korean chili paste) makes for a deliciously balanced meal. It’s the perfect dish if you're in the mood for something both filling and flavorful.

  • The place opened a few months ago and what a great surprise! I love the interior, it's really cute, I felt back in Korea We arrived early so the restaurant just opened (we were hungry ok ). There is a front part with some tables and at the back there is an area that you can reserve. The service was super friendly, the menu super similar to korean pub with delicious meals to share. Little recommandation : maybe have a menu for pictures so we can get inspired! We took a dakgangjeong (fried chicken in homemade soy sauce - a must. There is also a spicy version) and grilled shrimps with herbs. Both were delicious, served with rice. You can take your drinks yourself. Definitely recommend it for a dinner with friends and I'm looking forward to go back!

  • The food is great and comforting! Dishes were fresh made and could really experience the authentic korean cuisine. Portion is quite big but you could ask for a doggy bag so no food waste :). Will visit another time in the future to enjoy more of their dishes!

  • I am a korean and I think the atmosphere of the bar is really similar to the bars in Korea ( around university areas). The food was authentic, I chose Jeyukdeopbap( spicy pork stir fry) and jjamppong(spicy sea food noodles). Both were nice and very close to the tastes in Korea and very very spicy. The dishes were served with some korean typical side dishes. Of couse there are other not spicy options as well but I felt like spicy food that day. One thing pity was that there was no- air conditioning. So if it is really hot outside, it could be really hot in there, especially if you eat spicy food. Besides that, everything was nice, amount of food and the taste both were good!

  • I rarely take the time to write reviews, but the incredible dining experience I had at this restaurant in Düsseldorf compels me to share my highest praise. Finding this level of quality during my travels was an absolute delight. Seriously, the Jjamppong here is extraordinary. It easily surpasses the standard found in many restaurants, even back in Korea. The broth was complex, rich, and perfectly executed a true revelation. Both the Chili Shrimp and the Cream Shrimp were phenomenal. The freshness of the ingredients coupled with the impeccably balanced sauces made them utterly delicious. Even my notoriously picky child finished every last bit of the Jjajang Tteokbokki. This is a strong testament to how wonderfully prepared and tasty the food is across the board. To top it all off, the chicken was absolutely delicious. Crispy, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. Beyond the stellar food, the beverage selection was equally impressive and truly added to the experience. The owner recommended several of the local specialty beers, and each one was a perfect, inspiring pairing with the food. The unique self-service beverage area is fantastic. There is a vast array of options to choose from including a great selection of Korean drinks and alcohol making it a fun and exciting experience to choose your own drink. If you are in Düsseldorf and looking for authentic, high quality Korean cuisine with an excellent drink program, look no further. This restaurant is truly exceptional, and I wholeheartedly recommend it!
